Fibreboard Company
It was founded in 1884, with its main activities being manufacturing and distributing wood-based materials used as insulation, later starting to produce roofing and flooring products. In 1976, it was purchased by Louisiana-Pacific Corporation until 1988 and in 1997, it was acquired by Owens-Corning. The company used the mineral known as asbestos from 1920 to 1971 for products like floor coverings and insulations affecting the lives of thousands of people that came in contact with these.
