Taylor Forge & Pipe Works
In 1900, American Spiral Pipe Works was founded in Chicago by James Taylor. Subsequently, in 1929, the businessman founded a forge shop in Cicero, Illinois, whose name was Taylor Forge & Pipe Works, where the modern ANSI flange standards were developed. In 1967, the Taylor Forge & Pipe Works was acquired by Gulf and Western. The workers of the company would forge a wide range of metals, such as titanium, magnesium, tungsten, and nickel, for engineering applications. Sadly, the employees of Taylor Forge & Pipe Works were exposed to asbestos on the job while working in the plants of the company, as the mineral played a major role in forging, and it was also present in machinery and equipment. If you worked at this company before 1980 and are now struggling with a disease that is linked to asbestos exposure, you should give our team a call, as you may be entitled to compensation.
