Unarco

This company was first known as the Union Asbestos and Rubber Company when it was founded in 1941 in the state of New Jersey. It started as a manufacturer of insulation materials made with asbestos. The company moved its headquarters to Illinois in 1954, and in 1955, it purchased the Folding Carrier Corporation, a producer of shopping carts, following a name change to Unarco. From the very start, Unarco used asbestos in its products and posed great risks for the people working for the company and for the people using these materials on a day-to-day basis.

If You Have a Family Member Who Worked at Unarco Contact Us

Although the majority of people who suffer from asbestos-related diseases have been exposed in the workplace, secondary exposure is common as well. If you are diagnosed with a malignant or non-malignant disease and have a family member who worked at Unarco, there is a high chance your illness is the result of secondary asbestos exposure. Because most companies did not require employees to wear protective equipment on the job, you could have easily inhaled fibers of asbestos which remained on your loved one’s clothes.
